Poached chicken can be used for salads, quesadillas, soups, and sandwiches.  The chicken comes out moist and perfect every time.

Perfect Poached Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Water
  • 2 regular or one large chicken bouillon cube

Instructions

  • Fill a large sauce pan with water to the midway point and add bouillon.  
  • Bring water to a rolling boil and add chicken.  
  • Cook chicken (covered with a lid) for eight minutes.  
  • Turn heat off and let chicken sit in covered sauce pan for 1 hour.  
  • Remove chicken and put in refrigerator until chilled.
  • Cut into thin slices or shred when ready to use.
